KinderGolfer since: 2001

“Like most people, we associated golf to be a rich man’s sport. But before you discount the idea of sending your kids for golf lessons, let me assure you that it is not only an affordable hobby but an enriching one as well.

It was in December 2001, when I first came across KinderGolf at an Exhibition Booth at Singapore Expo. My first reaction was that it was probably going to cost too much to send my son for the program. What’s more, my son is a down syndrome child with special needs. I thought that it was almost impossible for my son to be considered for the program as it takes special skills and attention to train children with special needs. But I am thankful that KinderGolf not only considered my son for the program but made it affordable for us.

My son was 8 years old then when we first enrolled him in the program. It takes much patience and good attitude from the instructor to work with him. I am grateful to his instructor who not only showed kindness and patience but believed in his potential to gain from such training. Truly, my son has benefited much from the program. I noticed improvement in his hand-eye co-ordination, and his motor and social skills. I must also note an improvement to his confidence in the way he relates to others. My son looks forward to his KinderGolf sessions as it is a time for him to play, relax and engage his muscles. Now, our whole family can enjoy a ‘time’ at the golfing range as not only does daddy get to play his golf game, everyone in the family including Sherman can appreciate our time at the range.
