“The first time we were introduced to KinderGolf we were surprised with the professionalism of the staff and the programme which showed lots of promise. That promise has not only been fulfilled but had shown potential as it has evolved to meet the demands of the players as well as the growth in the international realm. Over the years that my son Amir Afiq has been involved, the programme has evolved to meet the progress of his capabilities. I applaud the foresight of Donna and her team in creating a niche for Singaporeans in the Golfing Arena in preparation for the international filed.

My son started in the year 2003 and was given tremendous support by the staff at the former Suntec School. Under the tutelage of Shirley, Hui Ping and the rest of the staff, Amir Afiq has not only grown in his golf capabilities but also in his self-esteem and confidence. In the monthly medal competitions, Amir Afiq had won many trophies which affirmed him of his capabilities. In addition, the monthly medals have also prepared him for things to come in the golf tournaments.

KinderGolf has not only created an environment of competitiveness with the emphasis of winning medals in the monthly competitions, but also teaching golfing etiquettes on the green and in class. Training at a young age, is key to a successful golfer. I have seen the teaching tools used which have evolved from verbal instructions and the use of the whiteboard to tools which are more tangible like badges, workbooks and the constant reminders of etiquette during classroom lessons and on the green. KinderGolf has managed to maintain its consistency when teaching the kids.

Confidence cannot be taught or fed. It can only be nurtured and flamed from a kinder to a fire. As a parent, I am pleased to see my child growing to be a confident and assured person. Thank you KinderGolf. Amir Afiq’s success is part of your nurturing process.”
